...a little boy saw the light of the world for the first time. From the proud mummy Gelb he got the melodic name Paolo. Paolo Gelb, a name which reminded his mummy of sun, warmth, the south, love and temper.
Paolo opened his eyes and saw his mother and… one heard his first cry. A cry… so penetrating, so desperate and so shocking! Just because mummy worn something, which was not bearable... Trousers of cord... Cord trousers! In bright yellow colors! Can that be possible? Cord trousers!
Paolo's desperate view lowered and moved down. Suddenly his sweet baby head blew up like a balloon, became fire red and he recognized that he lay packed in a woollen mesh tangle in the cradle, which emerged as trousers of cord... yellow cord trousers! And Paolo cried still more.

This shock, this experience, everything what he saw, the cry... should shape him from now of. Many years passed, but the memories remained. Paolo Gelb thoughts walked back to the moment when everything began; when he saw himself and his mother the first time... with yellow cord trousers... and he cried.
